We visit Smolak Farms often and we were so excited to finally have the opportunity to capture a wedding there! You can find us there all the time either capturing a photo session, bringing the kids to the farm to play or to one of their events. If you were there last night...you may have even caught Anthony there to get us some of the most amazing blueberry ice cream in the whole world. I'm not sure if he was more excited to have some for himself, or for me to stop talking about how much I have been dying for it!

Aundie and John met through their mutual friends {The Crowley's}. When they first met, they were dating other people. Over the next few years they saw each other whenever they would hang out with their friends. From this point it was years of friendship, laughs and flirting. After a weekend away camping and canoeing, it was time. They embraced each others quirk, realized how special their relationship was, and started dating and never looked back.

They shared their engagement story with us and it was all about LOVING the winter holiday season! The joys of the holiday spirit, winter weather, time with family and friends, and football fun at it's peak in December. Aundie loves Christmas wrapping... to the point where all the paper styles, patterns, and tags match (and different every year). While home one night as a family, Aundie and Lily were wrapping gifts together to get ready for the holiday. Baby Jack was banging away in his highchair. Out of gifts to wrap, Lily ran in to to get more from John. In walks Lily with a perfect blue box, and hands it to Aundie. Per usual, the moment has not registered with Aundie just yet. She calls into the other room asking John who this gift is for... He takes the box, gets down on one knee, and asks Aundie to marry him! Lily squeals with delight about how pretty the ring is.... which was immediately followed by Lily closing her finger in the ring box. A few tears (by both Mom and Lily), and then a resounding YES! Aundie and John's day started out with not one...but two first looks! And neither of them were between the Bride and Groom! John was able to sneak over to see his daughter Lily for the first time and surprise her with a special gift before the wedding, and then Aundie shared a moment with her Dad before the wedding also! It was such an amazing opportunity to witness these special moments with this family. One day John will be seeing Lily for the first time before her wedding, just like Aundie and her Dad, so this moment gave me ALL THE FEELS!

Their children, Lily and Jack, were showstoppers at the ceremony and came down the aisle in a little wagon and were smiling the whole time. Not to be upstaged by their adorable children, John and Aundie laughed through their entire ceremony, which was officiated by one of the groomsman. After the ceremony, we were threatened with a few drops of rain but luck was on their side as we got nothing more than a little sprinkle at the end of the day. Aundie and John were a dream couple to work with as we barely needed to direct them. They couldn't stop looking at each other and laughing throughout the whole day.

Aundie and John's Wedding at Smolak Farms was nothing short of perfection. As Aundie looks back on some of her favorite memories she said:

"Every single moment of it {was my favorite}. Especially getting ready with my Mom and sister, and my Dad walking me down the aisle and laughing with him as we danced to the song he picked out for us."

We couldn't have found two more genuinely happy and loving people to spend the day with to capture their wedding!
