2020 was quite the year, but not in the way that any of us had imagined when it began. Rather than the exciting year we all had planned, we sheltered in place, wore masks, sanitized, quarantined, and found new ways to manage our daily lives in the midst of a global pandemic. The event industry was hit so incredibly hard, with most of us losing nearly our full calendar of weddings and events. It was a punch to the gut every time we read about another small business that had to close down because they were not able to weather this seemingly never-ending storm.
Best of 2018 {Massachusetts & New Hampshire Wedding, Event & Portrait Photographers}
What an amazing year this has been! Writing the end of year blog is always my favorite thing to do as it gives me another opportunity to revisit some of my favorite images we have taken this year…with some of our favorite people! As we look back on the year we have had we are so thankful for all of our amazing clients! We have had the pleasure of sharing some of your most important moments with you guys and it means the world to us that you had us capture them for you. This year we have shared so many laughs and emotional tears that is almost bittersweet that this year is coming to an end!
Stevens-Coolidge Place, North Andover MA Engagement Session {Massachusetts Engagement Session} Erica & Rob
Having to reschedule a session due to a rainy day is usually never a good thing, except when the new session just so happens to have the most beautiful sunset we have seen all year! That's exactly what happened for Erica and Rob's Engagement Session at Stevens-Coolidge Place in North Andover, MA.
Greycourt Park, Methuen MA {Massachusetts Engagement Photographer} Caitlin & Jeff
Most of the engagement sessions we capture are during autumn. and considering how gorgeous it is in New England I can't say I blame them. However, we love when our couples want to do something different and were thrilled when Caitlin and Jeff wanted to plan their engagement session in the winter! We went to Greycourt Park in Methuen for their session and it was the perfect snowy spot for their photos.
Weir Hill Engagement Session {Massachusetts Engagement Photographer} Kelsey & Jonathan
We went back to one of our favorite new local spots, Weir Hill, to capture Kelsey and Jonathan's Engagement Session. It was a chilly windy morning, but these two were champs the whole time, and never stopped laughing and smiling. While we made our way through the trails, they told us how they met living at UMass Amherst, so it was only appropriate that they brought some of their old UMass sweatshirts to wear during their session!
Atkinson Common Engagement Session {Massachusetts Engagement Photographers} Lauren & Nick
One of the best ways we get to know our wedding clients is through capturing their engagement session. Because of this, we recently changed all of our wedding packages to include a complimentary engagement session and we could not be happier with our decision! What most people don't realize is that on your wedding day, you will be spending lots of time with your photographers so it is so important that you comfortable with us and in front of the camera.
Cobbetts Pond Engagement Session {New Hampshire Engagement Photographer} Adrienne & Ken
When people ask how we get most of our wedding clients from, the answer is a resounding 'Word Of Mouth'! We have been so lucky to have such amazing clients over the years and there is no bigger compliment we can get than to have them refer us to their friends. When Adrienne got in touch with us to discuss her wedding photography, she let us know that she had met one of our future Brides.
Boston's North End Engagement Shoot {Massachusetts Engagement Photographer} Michelle & Salvatore
Having only spoken to Michelle on the phone, we couldn't wait to meet them for their engagement session since their wedding is in just 2 months! We immediately connected through our chat as Michelle is also a small business owner at Baby Bump Bundle that specializes in adorable care packages for Mommas to be and new Moms. Michelle and Sal met in the North End of Boston where she used to live, so it was the perfect backdrop for their engagement shoot.
Smolak Farms Engagement Shoot {Massachusetts Engagement Photographer} Megan & Michael
When Megan contacted us about capturing her wedding we were thrilled! I have known her since our days at CCHS together. When discussing the location of her engagement session she loved the idea of Smolak Farms as it was one of her and Michael's first dates. It was gorgeous there with all the blooming apple trees {who knew apple trees were so pretty when they didn't have apples}, and we had such a great morning wandering the farm with them.
